Foreign Body Case
We had a young 50 pound dog, who ate something she shouldn’t have. The owner saw her grab these off their counter and immediately brought her in to us so we could induce vomiting. We were succussful in having her bring up one of the items. We waited a week for her to pass the other item on her own. When the owner had not seen the item come out, we took another x-ray and saw that it was still in the stomach. At this point, we did go ahead and take her to surgery to remove the remaining object.
