So, What DO we recommend?
Unlike cats, dogs are not true carnivores, they require a variety in their diet to meet their nutritional needs. Therefore, an ideal diet for your canine companion will contain meat, grains, vegetables, and fruits. We suggest reading the label on the bag and opting for a dog food that is NOT grain free, with a label the reads “complete and balanced”. We recommend brands such as Purina, Royal Canin, Hill’s Science Diet, and Iams. These brands meet or exceed the AAFCO minimum nutritional standards and are backed by feed trials, quality control, and guaranteed nutritional analysis.
