Libre System is a glucose monitor for both pets and humans. It works for 14 days, with a real-time reading of your pet’s glucose readings. The Libre system is a tool that we use to get accurate readings for the 14 days that your pet wears the monitor. The Libre system gives us a better reading than when we have the pet hospitalized for the day to do a blood glucose curve, as stress from the pet spending the day in the hospital can affect the glucose levels. Also, a pet only has to have one small stick when applying the Libre system vs. every 2 hours with the glucose curve test.
