Treats!

We all love treating our pets. Not only do we need treats for training, but we also enjoy making our pets feel like part of the family.

· The first thing to remember is to keep all of your treats small. Your dog does not care how big his treat is and it will allow you to give more rewards!

· Remember to remove some of the dry food for the day if you are planning to give lots of other treats.

· There are plenty of healthy treats that we can feed dogs, be sure to try multiple types of treats to see what your dog enjoys

· Healthy treat options: Carrots, green beans, broccoli, cucumber, apples, bananas, cooked (unseasoned) chicken or beef, cooked eggs, popcorn, or sweet potato.

· AVOID: corn cobs, onions, garlic, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, or raw meat

Weight checks:

We would love to see you and your pet anytime that you would like to see an updated weight. Just stop by anytime!

Regular diet:

The back of the bag of most dog foods usually have a guide to how much you should be feeding your dog. Remember, pet food companies want to sell pet food so often we find that their guidelines are a little more than necessary. If you are concerned that you are not feeding the right amount of food let us know but be sure to either have the bag with you or be able to tell us the exact name of the food.

If you are feeding both a canned and a dry food, remember to reduce the amount of dry food that you are giving.

Prescription diets:
